I wipe the chalky, white slate clean with the idea of feminism in the modern era. I inhale the dusty particles searching for understanding; however, I only choke upon these ideologies of feminism and embodying my womanhood. I am indeed a female with the rights of my reproductive system, sexuality, and gender being called into question by the white conservative
patriarchal system; as whether or not I can still have these freedoms. If we as women keep rising up from the red ash, this male dominance will engulf this fury that will fuel our fight to keep our freedoms.
How can we fuel this fire inside of us? As females, we can stand up for our rights and challenge the patriarch and traditional ideas through peaceful protests and marches. We can create art or media that invokes diplomacy and inspiration for women’s rights. I am a firm believer in art provoking new ideas and compassion because it is through creation that we as a society can evolve together; instead of creating a divide between us.
As a result, we must come together as people cultivating respectful and understanding relationships. Rather than tearing each other down with laws, restricting ideas, and cold words that leave people feeling alone; instead of connecting as humankind. If we break down these walls of restriction and hate, we can build a world of kindness and compassion. We must encourage togetherness for the sake of humanity.
