It is 2022 and we are still fighting for basic human rights

"One nation under god." We are all so very aware of that line, engrained into our heads at a very young age. We held our tiny hands over our tiny hearts and pledged allegiance to a country that shoves its ideology down our throats.
Being "one nation under god" blurs the line that separates church and state; Roe v Wade was overturned and now any person with a reproductive system has had their bodily autonomy ripped away from them.
It is 2022 and we are still fighting for basic human rights; we are going backwards. It all makes me feel so tiny again, tiny, angry, vulnerable, hurt. Part of me wants to fight while the other part just wants to get the hell out of here.
The United States is not the land of the free.
